When looking into the pbuilder chroot refman.log has some issues with Enrico's patch[1]. The thing is that the Makefile which is called does basically pdflatex refman || makeindex refman.idx || pdflatex refman and after this is echo $? 1 since longtable requires another latex run. Thus pdflatex refman || makeindex refman.idx || pdflatex refman || pdflatex refman echo $? 0 I'm going to patch the Makefile accoringly. Kind regards Andreas.
