What?!? That is absolutely a misunderstanding! I merely provided clarification about two different software projects. Where in my post do you read into it a deprecation of squeak-vm? Please do *NOT* remove squeak-vm from Debian. And please engage in conversation *before* doing such conclusive moves as requesting removal of a package: It is quite an uphill battle to get something through the NEW queue, so even with all good faith from everyone, it is regardless felt as a punishment to need to go through that route simply because of lack of communication. I sincerely hope that I am fast enough in issuing thing objection, so that the removal request will not yet have been effectuated.
