I saw that the blocking issue was bug#1036359. However I cannot reproduce it using the version in sid - I tried both the minimal reproducer and the linked markdown file from torproject.org in the bug, and both worked for me without any error. So it is possible that this is no longer an issue with recent Emacs versions. Can you or Antoine also try it again? Once confirmed it is no longer reproducible, we can probably close the bug to stop the package from being removed.
