I tried option --dns-ipv4-addr and obtained the following results: 511-north:~$ curl --dns-ipv4-addr 127.0.0.1 http://example.com/ curl: option --dns-ipv4-addr: the installed libcurl version does not support this curl: try 'curl --help' or 'curl --manual' for more information 512-north:~$ curl --manual|grep dns-ipv4-addr See also --dns-ipv4-addr and --dns-ipv6-addr. --dns-ipv4-addr <address> should be a single IPv4 address. If --dns-ipv4-addr is provided curl --dns-ipv4-addr 10.1.2.3 https://example.com --dns-ipv4-addr requires that libcurl is built to support c-ares. See also --dns-interface and --dns-ipv4-addr.
