 |Dear Maintainer,
 |
 |Suppose I send an email with `s-nail $ADDRESS`, then enter a Subject:,
 |then hit `~v`. The file I am given to edit begins with these two lines:
 |
 | # Message will be discarded unless file is saved
 | # To:, Cc: and Bcc: support a ?single modifier: To?: exa, <m@ple>

That will be even more in `reply' cases.

 |I have looked at the source code, and I do not see a way to prevent
 |these lines from being added. I would like an option to turn off
 |this text.

expert (Boolean) Reduces interface chattiness: for power users and old
hands. (To be extended on request.)

But it will still be certain months before we release v14.10,
sorry.

Btw you can "set editalong" and directly jump into $EDITOR, or
"set editalong=v" to directly go ~v, so to say. And you can
create a keybinding, as in

  bind compose :kf1 ~v

then hitting F1 in compose mode should go ~v, too. (But note "~"
is actually the *escape* variable, i have "se escape=!" ...)

Ciao, and greetings from Germany.
And "Ciao" also Paride!!!
