This is the change we have been using at Freexian on top of trixie's
2.19.0~beta6-1 and it is working well for us (though we did not run the
test cases). Would you be ok with also cherry picking it into the next
spu?

I have uploaded 2.19.4-0+deb13u1 for trixie, which includes the upstream commit.
The relevant tpu bug report is #1120358. Let me know if you need anything else.
