Well, it *can* be fixed.  Right now, you can check any *single* feed
you want instead of the inbox, by using the atom feed address

mail.google.com/mail/feed/atom/[label]

So if a user was desperate, they could run another instance of
checkgmail with a different profile that checked a particular label.
That's not much of a solution, though.

But if you look at the Todo list, and indeed the changelog, you'll see
that I'm readying things for the ability to read labels.  I just need
a bit of time to work on it, and I also need to consider whether to
swap the preferences file to an XML format, which would allow me to
improve the label checking in the future.

So it should be available soon.  My aim is to eventually allow
user-customisable delays for the different labels - so, for example, I
could be informed of work emails every five minutes or so, but
checkgmail emails only once a day! :)
