I moved away temporarily ~/.mc and /etc/mc - it didn't change the behaviour. My $TERM==xterm. I can't think of any other settings which can affect the behaviour. I have looked through changelog and found nothing relevant. Well, maybe those two UTF-8 changes? I don't use UTF-8 environment, maybe this is the issue? Could you tell me how to revert them in my local test build?
