Try the newest cupsys in Sid, please. And be advised that current HPLIP is known to not operate very well with cupsys 1.2 (hp-setup is busted, for example). I am waiting for 1.6.6.1 upstream to clear the closed beta stage for an upload to Debian Sid, and the python-qt fuckups in Sid to be fixed before I can address this (currently hplip has no way to work well in Debian sid, and works as well as it always did in Etch as long as you do not upgrade cups from 1.1 to 1.2). This doesn't mean hplip in etch won't work with cupsys 1.2, but it does mean you better test the functionality you need BEFORE you need it (because it might not be working right). Ah, the joys of a new cups... who can describe it? ;-) But do upgrade to the latest Sid cups packages, they fix an extreme amount of bugs. -- "One disk to rule them all, One disk to find them.
