percol hasn't been updated upstream in over 6 years at this point: https://github.com/mooz/percol/commits/master/ It has a RC bug (#1085774) that was improperly labeled and that should have kept it from being released in trixie altogether. Essentially, it wasn't ported to Python 3, so it's dead in Debian. There are plenty of alternatives: fzf, peco, and pick are all in Debian now, with skim an ITP (#956078). I don't even use this myself at this point, and suspect people would be much better served by the alternatives.
