It seems to use OSS by default (or at least the OSS emulation of ALSA) which can't be used by more than one application at once - the dark days of Linux audio. :) Hence, the error on startup. I'm not too familiar with audacity, but the options are likely:
1) Modify the package to wrap calls to audacity in 'aoss'. 2) Compile against v19 of portaudio (I believe only v18 is in unstable). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
