I am rookie to Linux and was working on it yesterday. I am contacting you as I saw one of yours posts online similar to the problem I am facing. I would appreciate your help in this matter,
When I entered the username and PW, it pretends like going in to graphical mode and then comes back to login screen again. It doesn't show any error. When we enter a wrong password, it shows invalid username/password error.
By using shell prompt I was able to login in my account and view all the files but it will never take me to graphical interface.
What could be the possible problem? Also Is there any way of getting into previously working configuration through command prompt if in case we have messed-up anything while trying to install vmware?
Please let me your thoughts on this.
