Package: iio-sensor-proxy
Version: 3.7-3
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

Attempting to start iio-sensor-proxy with
$ systemctl start iio-sensor-proxy

Gives the following lines in /var/log/syslog:

Sep 3 18:11:00 valiant iio-sensor-prox[4546]: Not a switch [/sys/devices/0020:\
1022:0001.0003/HID-SENSOR-200076.1.auto/iio:device1/../capabilities/sw]
Sep 3 18:11:00 valiant iio-sensor-prox[4546]: Invalid bitmask entry for /sys/d\

vent4
Sep 3 18:11:00 valiant systemd[1]: iio-sensor-proxy.service: Deactivated succe\
ssfully.

Investigating,
% cd /sys/devices/0020:1022:0001.0003/HID-SENSOR-200076.1.auto/iio:device1/../
% ls
Gives as output
driver@ iio:device1/ power/ trigger1/
driver_override modalias subsystem@ uevent

There is no 'capabilities' directory entry, which appears to be the
reason iio-sensor-proxy is not running is failing to run.

This has worked in the past, I don't know which version (nor which
kernel version!) suffered the regression.

The computer is a Dell Inspiron 14 7435 2-in-1
