Two things occur to me off-hand - either you have cruft that's confusing it in the DatabaseDirectory, or you have a mirror that's broken. So, two experiments to see what the problem is: Change your DatabaseMirror to something else - just change the country code to be .us or something. Run it that way for a day or two, and see if it goes away. If it doesn't, move all the contents of /var/lib/clamav out of the way, and rerun freshclam by hand. Leave it be for a few days, and see if you still get the messages. I suspect the first one is the problem, though - that's a message from the download process. Is there any correlation between IP addresses in the log and the time of the error output?
