Two things occur to me off-hand - either you have cruft that's confusing
it in the DatabaseDirectory, or you have a mirror that's broken.

So, two experiments to see what the problem is:

Change your DatabaseMirror to something else - just change the country
code to be .us or something. Run it that way for a day or two, and see
if it goes away.

If it doesn't, move all the contents of /var/lib/clamav out of the way,
and rerun freshclam by hand. Leave it be for a few days, and see if you
still get the messages.

I suspect the first one is the problem, though - that's a message from
the download process. Is there any correlation between IP addresses in
the log and the time of the error output? The database mirrors are all
round robin DNS, so it could be that you're getting a flaky one every
now and again.

Thanks,
