Package: spamassassin Version: 3.1.3-1 Severity: normal IP::Country::Fast doesn't seem to be in Debian (using packagesearch) but libgeo-ipfree-perl is. Maybe it is now the appropriate package? It's description is "A look up country of ip address Perl module Geo::IPfree uses a local file based database to lookup country of hostname or ip address."
I don't know that the 2 modules are compatible, but thought I'd report this. It is unclear at the moment whether it is possible to activate the RelayCountry plugin, or how to do so. /etc/spamassassin/init.pre: # RelayCountry - add metadata for Bayes learning, marking the countries # a message was relayed through # # Note: This requires the IP::Country::Fast Perl module # # loadplugin Mail::SpamAssassin::Plugin::RelayCountry In general, a guide to which debian module to install for which plugin would be helpful (or an indication of the need to install from CPAN). More documentation was already promised in bug #348394. That was apparently closed because the plugin is disabled by default (though there is a report in that bug of its being enabled by default). I am filing this bug to let you know about the other module, and also because it seems the plugin can't be turned on. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (50, 'unstable'), (40, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages spamassassin depends on: ii libarchive-tar-perl 1.28-1 Archive::Tar - manipulate tar file ii libdigest-sha1-perl 2.10-1 NIST SHA-1 message digest algorith ii libhtml-parser-perl 3.54-1 A collection of modules that parse ii libsocket6-perl 0.19-1 Perl extensions for IPv6 ii libwww-perl 5.805-1 WWW client/server library for Perl ii perl 5.8.8-4 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction Versions of packages spamassassin recommends: ii libmail-spf-query-perl 1:1.999.1-1 query SPF (Sender Policy Framework ii libnet-dns-perl 0.57-1 Perform DNS queries from a Perl sc ii perl [libmime-base64-perl] 5.8.8-4 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii spamc 3.1.1-1 Client for SpamAssassin spam filte -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
