I'm almost certain this is not yakuake-specific; does kate start if you start
it the same way?
This looks like launched in a session not in the correct environment, but it's
been too long I've debugged this. Could you describe in more verbose terms
(which desktop environment, which session, environment variables set or not,
etc), for someone else to reproduce this?
