Please unblock package packagesearch [ Reason ] Packagesearch recommends deborphan which was removed from trixie. [ Impact ] The versions 2.10 and 2.10.1 sole purpose was to fix the given depenedency by completely removing the deborphan plugin from packagesearch. Installation of packagesearch will lead to a warning. Recommends is a strong dependency, so I do not know, how non-commandline installation tools deal with it, they might even prevent installation. I believe it would be worth to unblock to have packagesearch with consistent dependencies [ Tests ] Manual installation of package and test. Everything worked fine [ Risks ] Very low, the fix consisted of simply removing the deborphan plugin directory and removing the few lines loading the plugin into the main application. [ Checklist ] [ x ] all changes are documented in the d/changelog [ x ] I reviewed all changes and I approve them [ x ] attach debdiff against the package in testing [ Other info ] diff on dsc will be provided separately to this bug. > debdiff packagesearch_2.9.0_amd64.deb packagesearch_2.10.1_amd64.deb [The following lists of changes regard files as different if they have different names, permissions or owners.] Files in first .deb but not in second ------------------------------------- -rw-r--r-- root/root /usr/lib/packagesearch/liborphanplugin.so -rw-r--r-- root/root /usr/share/packagesearch/translations/orphanplugin_de.qm Control files: lines which differ (wdiff format) ------------------------------------------------ * [-tags (based on the debtags system)-] [- *-] files [-* orphaned packages-] Installed-Size: [-1246-] {+1143+} Recommends: [-apt-file, deborphan-] {+apt-file+} Version: [-2.9.0-] {+2.10.1+} unblock packagesearch/2.10.1
