Yeah, ideally I would be building the Java part of this project with JDK 21, but I need 17 because the Java build is targeting Java 7 for compatibility with some ancient mod loaders people like to use, and Java requires version 8 or higher as the target since JDK 20. When Java 17 is permanently removed from testing, I will update it to target Java 8, but for now I don't want to break compatibility with a deliberate decision made by upstream.
