The proper solution is to extract the one or two commits that are fixing the issue, I can do a update of the version in bookworm with those patches. Without that I would need to convince the release team why they should allow to push all changed of 3.7.4 to stable. Do you can help here? bookworm-backports is not an option, as backports need to have the same version that is in testing/unstable. So that would mean to package 3.16.4 for bookworm.
