Dear Maintainer,
On launching kdenlive in trixie today, I saw a nag dialog under the
project bin with the text:
> "Your Kdenlive version is older than 6 months, we encourage you to
> upgrade"
along with a link to the kdenlive.org download page.
This seems cross purposes with frozen package versions in debian stable,
and may also be considered a privacy issue [1].
Looking upstream I can see this "feature" was added in commit 7841d94c
[2] so it would probably be sufficient to revert it.
