Hi,

Not quite correct, those are different modules. This bug is about the module ovpn-dco, which has been there for a while and is supported with OpenVPN 2.6. We will release Trixie with OpenVPN 2.6, and since it does not conflict with anything and we might want to support OpenVPN 2.6 with a backported 6.16+ kernel I plan to keep it in testing until right before the Forky freeze (technically not necessary, but it would be easier to provide a trixie-backport than a trixie-stable-update).

I do plan to fix this bug once Trixie is released by updating to the new upstream btw.

The module upstreamed is the new ovpn (currently sitting in NEW as openvpn-ovpn-dkms) will indeed be most likely superflous once testing is upgraded to 6.16+, but having it in testing would allow providing a trixie-backport of both OpenVPN 2.7 and the necessary ovpn module.
