During the Trixie development cycle, Mate changed from installing a Pulseaudio setup to an only partially working Pipewire setup. This is because a package that mate depends on switched its dependency from pulseaudio to pipewire-pulse. Mates Pipewire support is not complete, because for a recommended setup, the metapackage pipewire-audio needs to also be installed, which enables Alsa support and a few other things. Pipewire-pulse only pulls in some of the recommended Pipewire packages. so pulling in pipewire-audio via mate-core is sufficient? Or do we need to adjust other packages, too?
