My comment aged well and hasn't changed since then. Regarding the replacement strategy: apt-mirror2 can coexist with apt- mirror for the beginning and take over the "apt-mirror" name in the future – maybe in trixie+2 or later. -- Benjamin Drung Debian & Ubuntu Developer
