lighttpd mod_authn_file.so and lighttpd mod_authn_dbi.so support crypt()'d passwords when libcrypt* is available. I'll release lighttpd 1.4.79-3 to unstable after lighttpd-1.4.79-2 migrates to Testing in about 2 weeks from now. Cheers, Glenn
