Thank you for reporting this bug, and I appreciate your patch. That
said, I'm confused by how your experiences differ from my own, as well
why you set the first version affected as 0.10.3-1, because Vorta for
Debian was migrated from Qt5 to Qt6 in version 0.9.1-1, and the person
who took this action didn't add qt6-svg-plugins to vorta's dependencies.
At that time, icons would have disappeared.

My experience testing 0.10.1-1 didn't reveal this bug, which indicates
that some other package Depended or Recommended qt6-svg-plugins at that
time; this is particularly likely because I use KDE Plasma. Maybe the
person who uploaded 0.9.1-1 also uses KDE Plasma?

Meanwhile, qt6-svg-plugins was added to libqt6gui6's Recommends the 8
December 2024, and vorta_0.10.3-1 was uploaded the 31 January 2025.
Deductively this indicates that the problem was introduced in
vorta_0.9.1-1, even though it was arguably a transitive problem in
Debian's Qt6's package, that problem was resolved in
qt6-base_6.7.2+dfsg-5, and that this bug wasn't present in
vorta_0.10.3-1. Given that you're using trixie and not sid, I
hypothesise that vorta_0.10.1-1 was affected for you due to something
like delayed migration of the Qt6 fix.

Would you please confirm whether or not your system is still affected?
An apt remove and apt install vorta should do the trick.

Thank you, and kind regards,
Nicholas
