Hi, CCing debian-x again, Michel Dänzer might be interested and have some advice on what to try next.

Actually, I now have what seems to be a consistent result, assuming the upstream package uses the pure software rasteriser, which seems to be the case (Mesa built with the linux-static target) : - With libgl1-mesa-dri (DRI enabled) on a Radeon card : display bug(s). I get the same problem with other OpenGL apps (glxgears and googleearth). - With libgl1-mesa-glx (DRI disabled) : crash with the gdk error which has been reported several times and the backtrace I sent previously. Tested with ati and vesa drivers. - With libgl1-mesa-swx11 and no Composite : works fine, but slow. - With libgl1-mesa-swx11 and Composite : crash, with a different gdk error. I'm not sure about the Composite thing, but it looks like the crashing bug everybody complains about is closely related to GLX. Any help/advice is still welcome, though I'm not sure Amaya is actually the problem. Regis -- "While a monkey can be a manager, it takes a human to be an engineer" Erik Zapletal
