Package: perl Version: 5.8.8-6 Severity: serious Justification: no longer builds from source
perl 5.8.8-6 fails 1 test on MIPS and hppa, which keeps it from being updated in Etch. This is not meant as a useful bug report, but as a "reminder" (in case that's useful) that as usual perl FTBFS-s on release arches stall other packages. This time, subversion built with the new perl on some arches and is tied to perl's update, which means that this FTBFS is blocking the neon transition, making perl the top staller.
