Package: atop Version: 2.8.1 Severity: normal [severity normal because this is a Raspi 5 only issue and Debian doesn't have official support for the Raspi 5]
The Raspberry Pi 5 shows a fake NUMA architecture with e.g. 8 numa nodes for in total 4 CPUs (which is not likely for real NUMA). When atop 2.8.1 to 2.11 tries to display the architecture read from the system, it gets a buffer overflow. A possible workaround is to suppress the display of the NUMA metrics on affected systems by setting 'maxlinenuma 0' in the file ~/.atoprc or /etc/atoprc This issue will be solved in atop 2.12.
