Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

there was nothing leading up to the bug. The touchpad suddenly stopped
working without warning. I was typing when it stopped and have no idea what
caused it.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

I installed uninstalled different drivers. I changed desktop
enviroments. It got to the point where I started using google gemini and even
it gave up (it told me to file a bug report).

   * What was the outcome of this action?

lack of access to the touchpad

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

no lack of access to the touchpad.
