The second part of hg_status is meant to show unpushed branches:
hg summary --pager never --quiet | grep -v 'parent: 0:'
It looks like Paul came up with this command in 2012 or earlier
(#693021). But I think it needs updating. Currently it does not
produce empty output when there are no unpushed changes:
% hg clone https://repo.mercurial-scm.org/hg/
% cd hg
% hg summary --pager never --quiet | grep -v 'parent: 0:'
parent: 53253:5bb6a0ae7d6c
Perhaps the grep regexp should be '^parent: ' ?
