Package: libcairo2-dev Version: 1.18.4-1+b1 Severity: important X-Debbugs-Cc: ano...@soe.ucsc.edu
Dear Maintainer, I'm trying to build software that statically links against libcairo. However, apparently since the change to the meson build system, the Debian cairo package doesn't build the libcairo.a static library, and libcairo2-dev does not include it in the package anymore. Can it be addedd back? On the downstream Ubuntu bug for this at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cairo/+bug/2110074 it was mentioned that adding --default-library=static to the build command line somehow might fix this.
