I've investigated this option. However: libgfortran-12-dev is built from gcc-12. gcc-12 is supposed to go away. Adding this dep would keep gcc-12 in trixie. Maybe d-shlibs needs to be fixed to use another package, or it should stop using apt-cache for this altogether. Chris
