Dear vasi,
The new lf v35 release uses functionality from tcell 2.8.0, which was released
in January but has not been updated in Debian. Debian currently has version
2.7.4 available in testing/sid [0].

Debian is currently in the freeze process for Trixie so it is not going to be
realistic to update both tcell and lf.
Therefore, I have backported all of the fixes that I can see from lf v35 that do
not require the new version of tcell, and have uploaded lf 34+ds-2 this evening
to unstable.
It will hopefully migrate to testing automatically after 10 days before the hard
freeze; if not I will give it a poke.
I hope this helps you out - we can get tcell updated after Debian Trixie is
released and then upload lf v35+.
