I agree that the stable version of this plugin should be updated (since the upstream change appears to be a simple URL change),
However, the fixed version is also available as a Debian Backport, which is likely to be more compatible with stable/bookworm. See https://lists.debian.org/debian-xfce/2025/04/msg00016.html for instructions.
