I am the upstream maintainer and am taking over packaging responsibility to ensure ZMap stays up-to-date in Debian. This version includes the latest upstream release and resolves prior dependency and packaging issues. It’s been a while since we’ve had anyone update the version in apt, so that’s the reason for the major version jump. I’ve reached out to the maintainer listed on the package, Dariusz Dwornikowski, but haven’t heard back.
