Hi, nice suggestion and nice .desktop file. I'm afraid it's not that easy. The evolution-webcal is not able to load files with wrong MIME-type, at least not the one I tried (http://guadec.org/GUADEC2006/schedule/ical) You can try this by doing Open with... in your browser. That might be fixed in code though.
What's also tempting is to create import from a file e.g. nautilus. That would not work with webcal either, since they are supposed to be an URL and not a file.. Cheers, Øystein
