Bastian, Manuel Guerra and I are in the process of salvaging this package.
It has a lot of complexities, not the least of which being that it is a combination of multiple different upstream sources with disparate version numbers. It also uses a lot of obsolete packaging methods. Switching to source format 3.0 is non-trivial. Currently our goal it to refactor the package into (probably) three different source packages. As we do so, each new source package will use the source 3.0 format. We expect to accomplish this work during the forky release cycle. -- Soren Stoutner so...@debian.org
