Package: rspamd Version: 3.11.1-2 Severity: |important|
|Dear Maintainer,| |I've just noticed that rspamd 3.11.1 landet in the sid repo. As I've used the rspamd package from the developers own repository until very recently, I'd like to draw attention to quite a severe upstream bug I've had to deal with since 3.9(.1) was released, which renders the program basically useless: https://github.com/rspamd/rspamd/issues/5117| | | |When scanning an email, rspamd throws segmentation faults, causing that basically no spam email is being scanned anymore. It's unclear what triggers these segmentation faults, but the result is that no spam email that should be marked as spam seems to be scanned - or at least rspamd doesn't add any headers to them with the scan results. Emails that wouldn't have been categorized as spam still seem to be properly scanned with the results written to the headers. The only way to fix this was to downgrade to v3.4 shipped in the bookworm repo. As I'm on bookworm I don't have a system to test if 3.11.1 from the sid repo shows the same issue, but I still wanted to point out the issue to keep an eye on before moving the package to testing.| | | |Best regards| |Richard|
