When developing the patch, I verified that an arch-only build would exactly reproduce (diffoscope) the binaries of a full build. Before/after necessarily differs due to having a different d/changelog timestamp. I do not expect a semantic before/after difference in a full build as dependencies are moved from B-D to B-D-I and overrides have been attached with an -indep suffix. As a result, I argue that the risk of causing regressions here is quite low. Helmut
