It may be possible :) I've at least updated unstable to 2.0.19 now to include this. For us to file a bug at release.debian.org for a stable update we'll have to be quite clear about the issue and it's effect. I will admit from inspection it seems small and quite clear, but still good to have all the information here. The original code [1] is not new, and I guess it took some time to be noticed. So on one side of the argument, it's been like this for a long time. On the other side, the fix [2] references playing videos on Firefox.
