Package: tigervnc-standalone-server Severity: wishlist X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected]
Dear Maintainer, I have been using my own systemd.service and systemd.slice's to run vnc sessions with resource control until I recently became aware that there is a [email protected] that can be used instead. As far as I can tell there is no (out of the box) method to tie a systemd.slice to a vncserver.user for resource control. For example "Fred" and "Barney" might need lower CPU weight than "Wilma". (I must admit that I have not tested if applying a simple pr. user resource control as described in man systemd.resource-control would suffice) -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.12.21-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages tigervnc-standalone-server depends on: ii libaudit1 1:4.0.2-2+b2 ii libc6 2.41-6 pn libfile-readbackwards-perl <none> ii libgcrypt20 1.11.0-7 ii libgl1 1.7.0-1+b2 ii libgmp10 2:6.3.0+dfsg-3 ii libgnutls30t64 3.8.9-2 ii libhogweed6t64 3.10.1-1 ii libjpeg62-turbo 1:2.1.5-3.1 ii libnettle8t64 3.10.1-1 ii libpam0g 1.7.0-3 ii libpixman-1-0 0.44.0-3 ii libselinux1 3.8.1-1 ii libstdc++6 14.2.0-19 ii libsystemd0 257.5-2 ii libunwind8 1.8.1-0.1 ii libxau6 1:1.0.11-1 ii libxdmcp6 1:1.1.5-1 ii libxfont2 1:2.0.6-1+b3 ii perl 5.40.1-3 pn tigervnc-common <none> ii x11-xkb-utils 7.7+9 ii xauth 1:1.1.2-1.1 ii xkb-data 2.42-1 ii zlib1g 1:1.3.dfsg+really1.3.1-1+b1 Versions of packages tigervnc-standalone-server recommends: ii libgl1-mesa-dri 25.0.3-1 pn tigervnc-tools <none> ii x11-xserver-utils 7.7+11 ii xfonts-base 1:1.0.5+nmu1 Versions of packages tigervnc-standalone-server suggests: ii openssl 3.5.0-1 ii xfonts-100dpi 1:1.0.5 ii xfonts-75dpi 1:1.0.5 ii xfonts-scalable 1:1.0.3-1.3
