Clarification: Some of the text in my previous email was wrong.
In *both* modes of building (using profile build, or using only DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=nocheck) the contents of the package is expected to be the same than the one from a regular build. https://wiki.debian.org/BuildProfileSpec#Profile_built_binary_packages (I'll change my template for the next time) (Apologies for the confusion) Thanks.
