Package: isc-dhcp-keama Version: 4.4.3-P1-5+b1 Severity: normal failed to create or run parser for configuration element reservations: failed to add new host using the HW address '1c:6f:65:9f:ec:1e' to the IPv4 subnet id '0' as this host has already been added
I had kea abort when I first ran it due to the above error as I mistakenly had 2 entries in the old config with the same MAC address. I'd run them like that for YEARS and it had worked so I expected the new config to just work. I think that the correct possibilities for keama are the following: 1) Delete one of the 2 duplicate entries, either first or last, ideally keep the one that the ISC server kept. 2) Warn when creating the file so the user knows what to expect (no warnings were given). 3) Abort the conversion and insist that the input file is valid. Producing an invalid file that causes KEA to abort at run time is not expected behaviour. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.12.20-amd64 (SMP w/44 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_AU:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: unable to detect Versions of packages isc-dhcp-keama depends on: ii libc6 2.41-6 isc-dhcp-keama recommends no packages. isc-dhcp-keama suggests no packages. -- debconf-show failed
