I can't reproduce this. CDs are playing just fine for me.

However, I'm not seeing these MusicBrainz messages.
I suggest try disabling MusicBrainz and see if that helps.
(Plenty of other providers of Album Covers).

Also, I would suggest raising an issue upstream here;
