debhelper creates files in debian/ so maybe we should stick with the original question. debian/control is not autogenerated, but DEBIAN/control is (by dpkg-gencontrol). This difference should be made clear in the rationale. Cheers, -- Bill. <ballo...@debian.org> Imagine a large red swirl here.
