During a rebuild of all packages in unstable, your package failed to build:
It fails in the tests on amd64. But interestingly enough, it builds on arm64, armhf and i386 just fine (according to r-b [1]). (And this is an arch:all package).
The autopkgtest also experiences the same, it fails on amd64 but it passes on several other architectures on vips not being able to detect the image type. I checked the pass/failure history of ruby-vips and got the following window:
2025-02-03 was the last time that ruby-vips passed on amd64 on ci.d.n 2025-02-15 was the first time ruby-vips FTBFS on amd64 on r-b I aligned that with the build history of vips [2], but that didn't match: 2024-12-28: 8.16.0-2+b1 2025-03-15: 8.16.1-1 So I suspect something lower in the stack is broken, but only on amd64. Paul PS: the autopkgtest failures on armel and riscv64 are of a different kind.
