*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? gnome-calculator on Debian stable is unable to update the exchange rates for currency conversions for the Financial mode upon starting of the application, and the result is the app freezes on start. This have been fixed by the GNOME team in newer GNOME versions, but the GNOME 43 in Debian Stable is no longer supported. For example check https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-calculator/-/issues/470 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libsoup/-/issues/420 It was suggested to me to file a bug report with the Debian maintainers to backport the fix.
