Just wanted to chime in and say that I confirm all of the above, I have applied the patch in: https://gitlab.com/qemu-project/qemu/-/issues/1628#note_2144606625
And now my Windows 10 VM, with QXL, 4K resolution and 175% scaling does not hang as it used to. The patch was applied to the latest 9.2.2+ds-1+b2 Debian source. The patch is now in the official qemu source tree: https://lore.kernel.org/qemu-devel/20250221134856.478806-1-...@tls.msk.ru/T/#u Here is another thread of an Arch Linux user complaining about the same: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=301331 Any chance this could be included in Trixie, either before the release, or after as a point update? I think it's pretty important, since many users have high resolution screens these days.
