Just wanted to chime in and say that I confirm all of the above, I
have applied the patch in:

And now my Windows 10 VM, with QXL, 4K resolution and 175% scaling
does not hang as it used to.

The patch was applied to the latest 9.2.2+ds-1+b2 Debian source.


The patch is now in the official qemu source tree:

Any chance this could be included in Trixie, either before the
release, or after as a point update?

I think it's pretty important, since many users have high resolution
screens these days.
