Upstream's https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-session/-/commit/584ba9e6aa46e79aa5821d0b34b684f07c85f3db ("scripts: Make xflock4 blocking again") set a timeout of MAXINT for the dbus-send call, but used a bashism to compute MAXINT.
