Hello, since it's been almost four years now that upstream released version 3.2.2 and the codebase has gained support for both loong64 and riscv64 in the mean time, I was wondering whether it would be possible to package a current git snapshot of fpc upstream? I have already bootstrapped native fpc binaries for loong64 and riscv64 [1] and would just need an update fpc Debian souce package to bootstrap the fpc Debian package for these architectures. I will also look into bootstrapping for other architectures using the LLVM backend such as s390x and sparc64 although I have no experience whether this would actually work or whether fpc would still need some shim code to work on these architectures through the LLVM backend. The reason for opening this bug report is that the fpc Debian package is not using the pristine upstream source but a repackaged upstream tarball (dfsg) which makes updating the fpc package for an outsider a little more complicated and I'd rather give the actual maintainers a chance first. Thanks, Adrian > [1] https://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/glaubitz/fpc-bootstrap/ -- .''`.
